Credit for Board Training

Dear CSD Board Members,

Recently my company. Willing Learner, Inc.  was approved by the state Board of Education as a provider of board training. The coursework approved  is Leadership of 21st Century Schools. I will be covering one credit hour of that content at the upcoming board retreat. The other two hours of credit will be awarded based on your reading the posted materials and answering the questions. If you prefer to send your answers to me by email than by this Blog you can mail them to me by the date of the retreat at deb.page@willinglearner.org or you can print them off and give them to me at the retreat.

Looking forward to seeing you at the retreat. The other providers at the retreat have been approved by the state board as well. If we do one hour of follow-up learning on Leadership of 21st Century Schools you will all meet your nine hour annual requirement, including the three-hour whole board training. Senate Bill 84 created these requirements. A copy of SB84 is available on the GSBA website. All providers must be preapproved by the state board.
